Mazuri Softbill Diet

Mazuri® Softbill Diet is a complete bird food designed for adult iron-sensitive birds, which is ideal for toucans, aracari, turacos, starlings, birds of paradise, mynahs, or other softbills. This highly palatable and nutritious softbill bird food contains real fruit. The bird food has a sweet smell and is flavored with real plum and apple, with natural pineapple flavoring added to enhance palatability. It does not contain any added artificial flavors. The bird food comes in an extruded nugget, a highly palatable and digestible form. This can be fed with fruit or other food items if desired. Each batch of Mazuri® Softbill Diet is analyzed for iron.

Feeding Instructions

Feed free-choice and provide fresh food daily to birds after their first molt. This diet is not for growing chicks. The feeding amounts are guidelines and should be adjusted based on the bird’s body condition, activity level (free flight or not), reproductive stage, other foods offered, social structure, and environmental temperatures.

Offer fresh fruits, vegetables, and other enrichment foods as up to 30% of the bird's diet. While transitioning to this diet, transition at an increasing rate of 10% Mazuri per day. Be sure not to overfeed during this time, and monitor your bird's consumption of the new diet. Always ensure your bird has access to fresh water. Not for human consumption. 

Storage Instructions

For best results, reseal the bag between uses or store contents of open paper sack in container with sealing lid. Store in a cool (75°F/24°C or colder), dry (approximately 50% RH) location free from rodents and insects. Do not offer moldy or insect-infested feed to animals as it may result in illness, performance loss or death. Freezing will not harm the diet and may extend freshness. Use within 1 year of bag manufacturing or "Best if Used By" date.
