Perfect for planted aquariums, Colombo Flora Base Pro is a unique, premium planting substrate packed with essential nutrients and features an open structure that encourages strong, healthy root development. Originating in Japan, Flora Base Pro can be used as the sole aquarium substrate or used in conjunction with Colombo Nutri Base to provide the maximum amount of nutrients for plants to thrive. Available in coarse and fine grades Flora Base Pro retains its shape and will not disintegrate like other inferior planting substrates.
The substrate has the added advantage that it will lower and maintain a pH of 6 which in turn boosts the available CO2 levels for optimal plant growth. This in turn makes starting a new aquarium much easier as when the pH is under 7, the ammonia excreted by fish will form as non harmful ammonium instead of toxic ammonia.
Please Note:
Colombo Flora Base PRO should not be washed prior to use, any cloudiness after filling is harmless and will disappear after a few days.
