This fan heater screws into your basic E27 fitting and is great for reptiles and birds.
Originally used for pig and chicken farming for raising babies.
We have been using these for about 3 years with no issues. They are surprising efficienct for heating large cages. The airflow is gentle and this one unit has 3 heat settings 100w, 200w and 300w. They do have 3 LED lights which if used for reptiles you can remove or cover. Some birds do like a little light so as to not be fearful of predation while in total darkness.
Great for raising ambient air temperatures in large cages. Connected to a thermostat or dimmerstat for temperature regulation.
Unfortunately there is no cage cover that will fit this unit so you may have to build a box to protect it. Otherwise mount above mesh cages or use a dome like the large deep domes.
***These devices can't be used with inline dimmers only rated for 100w- 200w***.
